FCC Aqualia engaged audiences at the 8th IWA Membrane Technology Conference & Exhibition for Water and Wastewater Treatment and Reuse in Singapore on 5 – 9 September. Aqualia’s presentation, “Membrane-based pre-treatment to mitigate variations in desalination plants” was featured for some 50 delegates, many who participated with questions and comments. Juan Arevalo, Senior Researcher for Innovation and Technology Department in Aqualia, said, “There was a great level of acceptance from the scientific and technical community present this IWA MTC Conference.”
With its representation at this conference, the MIDES project has become known at key water events in Europe, North America, South America, Africa – and now in Asia. The international community is recognizing the potential of the low-energy MDC solution and the progress that has been realized by the MIDES consortium so far.
MIDES will be present at upcoming events including:
- The International Fair on Water and Energy: 5-8 October 2017, Canary Islands, Spain
- The International Desalination Association (IDA) World Congress: 15 – 20 October 2017, São Paulo, Brazil
Stay up to date as the first MIDES demonstration site will be operational in Denia, Spain, next year!
