Aqualia at Solutions for Water Management (SIGA) event
Aqualia participated in the first edition of the SIGA trade fair for Innovative Water Management Solutions, in Madrid from 28 February to 3 March. Aqualia’s focus on innovation was a key message conveyed, as MIDES was also presented to participants.
The SIGA event is a key gathering, as Spain’s integrated water cycle management companies have a worldwide presence in the areas of drinking water, desalination, wastewater treatment, water reuse and water in industry, and they supply services to over 24 million people on all five continents. SIGA hosted more than 100 companies, such as Canal de Isabel II, Acciona, SUEZ and Sacyr, among others. The event featured different technical sessions around three major areas: intelligent management, quality and sustainability in the management of the integral water cycle for urban and industrial use.
At the SIGA Speakers Corner, a space to present the most varied initiatives of the companies, Frank Rogalla, director of Innovation and Technology at Aqualia, delivered the presentation “Let the imagination flow like water: always a new way”, on the first day of the event. Víctor Monsalvo (shown in photo), head of eco-efficiency at Aqualia, addressed the topic of “Desalination and simultaneous purification: wastewater energy allows desalination without electricity” as he presented MIDES.
